The project funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic - TACR) within the DOPRAVA 2020+ program (project no. CK04000042) focuses on enhancing the safety and lifespan of steel bridges. Using IoT technologies and advanced sensors, we are exploring how traffic impacts bridge structures and how to detect emerging damage in a timely manner.

📸 1: Simulation of long-term loading of a bridge deck panel on a steel temporary bridge under traffic.

📸 2: Cyclic loading of a panel using a hydraulic press over a steel beam and elastomer bearings, simulating the effect of a pair of rear axle wheels of a heavy truck.

📸 3: Monitoring the panel's response using acceleration sensors and acoustic emission sensors. Simultaneously, deformations of the panel and its deflections are recorded.

📸 4: Real-time monitoring of emission activity from acoustic emission probes during loading.

👥 We are collaborating with the Czech Technical University in Prague and Cotrex PC.
