On March 25, 2025, a project meeting was held for INACO (Increasing the Resilience of Heritage Sites in River Basins) under the Interreg Central Europe program. The project's main goal is to enhance the resilience of historical sites located in river basins.
The meeting took place at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague and was attended by experts from various institutions, including the National Heritage Institute, the Institute of Planning and Development of Prague, the Prague City Hall, and the Czech Technical University.
During the program, pilot locations were presented where new measures will be tested to protect cultural heritage from floods and other risks. These locations include Veltrusy Castle, the Troja Basin, and Prague's flood protection system. Discussions focused on current challenges and specific needs of each site.
The meeting concluded with information about the upcoming INACO conference, which will take place on May 13, 2025, at the National Technical Museum.
